Why ASICS GT 2150 ?
The 2100 series offers a superb balance of pillowy cushioning and rock-steady stability features, and this update doesn't tinker with the winning formula too much. Asics tweaked the upper to lock down the heel more securely and reduce the chance of heel slippage. The ASICS GT 2150's generous padding in the heel collar and tongue snugly wraps the foot without causing any pressure points. Wear-testers loved the overall fit of this shoe. We recommend the ASICS GT 2150 as a supportive high-mileage shoe for normal-arched runners.
Stability shoes are best suited for runners that have a mild to medium overpronation running gait as they control the inward role of the foot that occurs when the runners foot hits the ground and moves from heel to forefoot. The Asics GT 2150 has a very well built air mesh that helps your feet breathe when you run and so moisture and bacteria can be dealt with efficiently. The mesh is put into strategic places, such as places that sweat the most; it also adds a nice lightweight feel to it.
Near the mesh there is also 3M reflective material, so if you ever run in the night you will be seen and protected. My personal favourite thing about the Asics GT 2150 is the P.H.F.® (Personal Heel Fit) technology which consists on memory foam so the next time you run it knows exactly the shape of your foot and moulds into it. This is perfect for runners who suffer from ankle pain and need that extra support in the heel.
Cushioning for this running shoe is second to none with the ASICS® Forefoot and Rearfoot GEL® Cushioning System being placed in tactical areas of the trainer; mainly places which get the most shock. Asics GT2150 Design 
‘Consistency’ is the key word behind the concept for the ASICS GT2150
The tooling features a reprised version of the rear-foot GEL® Cushioning System, a two-piece system designed to provide shock attenuation at heel strike and create a more stable transition from heel strike to mid-stance. Gender Specific Space Trusstic (the women’s tooling allows greater midsole deformation than men’s) has a slight modification. The new version extends a bit higher up the medial sidewall of the shoe and is just a bit longer. This adjustment will give the shoe improved midfoot stability.
The forefoot outsole also gets a new design, with a more flexible structure laterally to encourage lateral release, while the medial forefoot outsole pods are larger to provide a more stable environment during transition to toe-off.
The upper features a geometry change to the heel collar. The length of the heel collar remains consistent with the set-up on the GT-2140™, but the shape has been slightly modified. The new version will be a bit more ‘scooped out’, which translates to a slightly lower collar height. (approx. 2mm) The new geometry will help ensure that collar heights do not irritate the ankle.
The upper of the GT-2150 will also reprise the changes that helped make the GT-2140 a record-breaking shoe. This includes the Comfordry™ sockliner made from one-density Ortholite memory foam, seamless, two-layer PHF® memory foam in the heel collar, and a multi-piece eye-stay for improved upper comfort.
Noteworthy is the fact that the GT2150 will weigh about ½ ounce less than the GT-2140, weighing in at 11.7 oz in a men’s size 9. The drop in weight comes as a result of a focus on lighter weight materials from top to bottom. The real benefit comes from the overall performance gain from the newer, lighter version. It all adds up to another great model for the GT-2000 series.

I'm an avid runner and average about 25 miles a week. I'm 5' 9" and weigh nearly 200lbs. I have been running on Asic's premium shoe, the Gel-Kayano series, for about 5 years now, and decided to "downgrade" to the GT series after my last pair of Kayanos didn't last very long. So far these shoes are great! Every bit the shoe the Kayano is without the premium price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again or to recommend them to anyone who has a larger frame that needs more cushioning.

I have the most flat-footed feet in the world, and I've never been able to find a comfortable shoe; or at least one that gave lasting comfort through the day. I read a few good reviews and decided to try these out. It was a great decision! My job entails walking about 6 miles a day on concrete floors and with these shoes my feet rarely bother me anymore. They're extremely lightweight and feel like you're walking on air. They hold up extremely well when running too. The mesh keeps your feet from sweating as badly and the air blowing in them is really refreshing. I love them and recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of everyday, work or running shoes.

To date all the reviewers, except one, ranked this shoe 5 stars. I agree. It's as good or better than the 2130 I put 340 miles on before leaving them at a condo in China (next trip I'll still use them instead of carrying my new 2150s). There is a reason these are the best selling running shoe in the world - they are excellent in every way. The person that stated his/her older version of these shoes are better is all wet - no way. These are great shoes.

I've tried several different brands of running shoes, and the Asics GT-2150 have been my favorite by far. I compete in races all year long and I have found that Asics not only give me the support I need, I don't have to replace them as often as other brands. They're very durable and feel great whether I'm running 1 mile or 10.

Looking for a comforable wide width shoe, this is a very good one. I've only owned these shoes for about 1 month however I normally have problems standing for long periods of time (lower back pain) but with this shoe I can stand for much longer periods than before. Nice fit for my wide feet and stylish. I've run in them for 2 miles at a time and I'm in less pain than before. Highly recommend.
